James Bay Minerals Says Drilling at Nevada Project Encounters Shallow Oxide Gold, Polymetallic Intercepts

James Bay Minerals (ASX:JBY) said that multi-element assays for reverse circulation drilling at the North Hill area at the Independence project in Nevada returned shallow oxide gold and polymetallic intercepts, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The company hit intercepts of 22.9 meters at 0.5 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 25.9 meters as well as 12.2 meters at 1.2 g/t grade of gold from 158.5 meters, including 1.5 meters at 6.7 g/t grade of gold, 167 g/t grade of silver, and 1.2% grade of copper.

The firm's managing director, Matthew Hayes, said that drilling will continue to test North Hill and extensions below the optimized pit in the southern portion of the mineral resource estimate.

James Bay Minerals' shares fell nearly 2% in recent trading on Friday.
