Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) confirmed the extension of mineralization at the Black Butte copper project in Montana through exploration drilling, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Assay results in a further 20 holes targeting the Johnny Lee Lower Copper Zone returned 8.11 meters at 4.66% copper from 442 meters, and 15 meters at 7.99% copper from 426 meters, the filing said.
The company holds an 87% equity stake in TSX-listed Sandfire Resources America, which owns 100% of the project, per the filing.
