Cantor Equity Partners IV has filed for an initial public offering worth $400 million.

The Cayman Islands-based blank check company said it will sell 40 million units at $10 apiece, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

The company granted underwriters a 45-day option to purchase up to an additional 6 million units to cover over-allotments. Cantor is listed as the offering's underwriter.

A sponsor has committed to purchase 900,000 private placement units at $10 per unit for an aggregate price of $9 million as well. That transaction and the IPO are expected to close simultaneously.

The company expects to receive total gross proceeds of $409 million from the offering, or about $469 million if the over-allotment option is exercised. Both figures include proceeds from the private placement.

The company expects to acquire businesses in the financial services, digital assets, healthcare, real estate services, technology and software industries, it said.

It intends to apply to have its units listed on Nasdaq under the ticker CEPF.
