0617 GMT - Rates remain elevated across the U.S. Treasury curve, providing fixed income investors with attractive coupons for some time now, Federated Hermes' Karen Manna says in a note. The unusual and extended period of close-to-zero interest rates post Global Financial Crisis, and the subsequent period of yield-curve inversion, have given way to an old normal, the fixed income portfolio manager says. "It's hard to believe that we're now more than three years from the beginning of the Federal Reserve's dramatic rate-tightening cycle in response to not-so-transitory inflation," she says.
