Heavy Rare Earths (ASX:HRE) plans to fast track field checking of radiometric target areas highlighted by the recent geophysical survey and by structural analysis of the magnetic data at its Radium Hill uranium-scandium-rare earth project in South Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The work will involve hand-held scintillometer and portable X-ray fluorescence investigation of outcropping target areas and in-situ soils for anomalous uranium and critical mineral values.
Recent reconnaissance rock sampling by the firm returned high-grade uranium-scandium-rare earth assays, including up to 9,068 parts-per-million of triuranium octoxide, 936 ppm of scandium oxide, and 18,899 ppm of total rare earth oxides.
