1838 ET - Tesla may not be able to keep up with vehicle deliveries due to the recently passed budget bill. The electric-vehicle maker told analysts Wednesday its supply of vehicles would be squeezed by the abrupt repeal of certain EV credits: "If you're in the U.S. and looking to buy a car this year, order now as we may not be able to guarantee delivery of orders placed in the later part of August and beyond," CFO Vaibhav Taneja said. Tesla is also delaying work on an affordable car model so it can focus on building and delivering as many cars as possible before the credit expires, Taneja said. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
