Adds background on Peterson
July 24 (Reuters) - New Zealand's bourse operator NZX Ltd NZX.NZ said on Thursday Chief Executive Officer Mark Peterson had resigned and would depart at the end of April 2026.
Peterson, who led the firm for nine years, joined NZX as its Markets head in 2015, and previously held senior management roles with Australian lender ANZ ANZ.AX and other local financial services firms.
NZX Chair John McMahon said in a statement the board will conduct an internal and external search to replace Peterson.
The statement did not mention a reason for his resignation.
