Japan to buy Boeing planes, more US rice as part of trade deal, White House says

WASHINGTON, July 23 (Reuters) - Japan has agreed to buy 100 Boeing planes and boost rice purchases by 75% as part of a trade deal with the United States, a White House official said on Wednesday.

The agreement also includes Japan buying $8 billion in agricultural and other products while increasing defense spending with U.S. companies to $17 billion annually from $14 billion, the official said.
