Lakeland Industries, Inc. has announced the shipment of a $3.1 million order for fire intervention boots through its Jolly Scarpe brand, destined for the Italian Ministry of the Interior's Firefighters Department. This order is part of a previously-awarded four-year supply contract, providing a total of 47,500 intervention boots for Italian firefighters. The acquisition of Jolly Scarpe has expanded Lakeland's fire product offerings and enhanced its presence in Europe. The company is also working to introduce a NFPA-certified Jolly fire boot to the U.S. market. Lakeland's CEO, Jim Jenkins, highlighted the custom-designed boots, produced at their Romanian facility, that meet the Italian Fire Brigade's requirements with top-quality materials ensuring protection, durability, comfort, and reliability.
