NTSB to probe Army helicopter, FAA during fatal collision hearing

WASHINGTON, July 22 (Reuters) - The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a three-day investigative hearing starting July 30 over the fatal collision in January between a U.S. Army helicopter and an American Airlines regional jet that killed 67.

The board will also release thousands of pages of records from its investigation. The NTSB will review the Army Black Hawk helicopter air data systems and altimeters as well as the FAA's oversight of Washington airspace and air traffic, according to the agenda of the hearing released Tuesday.
