Vardhman Textiles (NSE:VTL, BOM:502986) said its consolidated profit attributable to the owners fell to 2.07 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter from 2.39 billion rupees a year ago, according to a Tuesday filing on the Indian bourses.
Earnings per share for the quarter ended June 30 dropped to 7.28 rupees from 8.38 rupees a year earlier.
Revenue from operations of the textiles company rose year on year to 23.9 billion rupees from 23.1 billion rupees.
Shares of Vardhman Textiles fell over 3% in after-market activity.
