VST Industries (NSE:VSTIND, BOM:509966) net profit increased to 561.3 million Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter from 535.8 million rupees a year ago, according to an Indian bourse filing on Tuesday.
Earnings per share during the quarter ended June 30 climbed to 3.30 rupees from 3.15 rupees a year earlier.
Total revenue from operations of the tobacco company slipped year on year to 4.14 billion rupees from 4.24 billion rupees, according to the filing.
