Raptis Group (ASX:RPG) is proposing a name change to Group One Capital, with the rebrand to take effect following approval at the upcoming shareholder meeting, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The name change will not affect the company's legal standing, obligations, shareholder rights, operations, or finances, the filing said.

James Raptis announced his resignation as chairman last week and requested that the company change its name, the filing added.
