JSW Energy (NSE:JSWENERGY, BOM:533148), through its step-down subsidiary JSW Renew Energy Forty Five, has entered into a power purchase agreement with the Bangalore Electricity Supply Co. for a grid-connected solar project with 100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The project will be developed in the Kalaburagi district and will be connected to the 220/400 kV KPTCL Firozabad substation, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The power purchase agreement has been signed for a tenure of 25 years at a tariff of 4.31 rupees per kWh.
With this, the company's locked-in energy storage capacity increased to 29.4 GWh, including 3.0 GWh of BESS and 26.4 GWh of pumped hydro storage.
