With over 15 years of international legal and compliance expertise, Ms. Ekim will lead the firm's legal and regulatory strategy while driving enhancements in investor engagement and operational excellence.
In her new role, Ms. Ekim will oversee fund formation, regulatory and compliance matters, and firmwide legal initiatives, in addition to spearheading strategic efforts aimed at strengthening the investor experience at Civitas. Her cross-sector experience spans finance, real estate, energy, infrastructure, and technology, with deep expertise in corporate, commercial, and compliance matters, foreign investments, and cross-border transactions. She has lived, studied, and worked on three continents, bringing a truly international lens to her work.

Most recently, she served as Managing Director, Legal & Compliance at a real estate investment firm based in San Francisco.
