It also includes a gravity flow conveyance system and site improvements to bolster groundwater recharge and ecological restoration. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve water reliability and fish habitats on the Calaveras River, aligning with conservation efforts for threatened species like the Central Valley steelhead and Chinook salmon.
