California Water Service Group is set to commence a significant water infrastructure upgrade in Stockton, aimed at improving water supply reliability and enhancing fire protection. The project involves the installation of an additional 2,000 feet of new water main to serve the northeast part of the city, benefiting businesses, schools, and emergency services. According to Craig Stevens, Stockton District Manager, the upgrade is part of an ongoing commitment to deliver a reliable supply of high-quality water for both everyday and emergency needs. The project is scheduled to be completed by January 2026, with crews working weekdays to ensure minimal disruption to traffic by installing the water main horizontally underneath Highway 99.
