Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. announced its traffic figures for June 2025, showing a notable increase in both passenger and cargo volumes compared to June 2024. The airline reported a 25.2% rise in the number of passengers carried, totaling 2,300,801 for the month. The available seat kilometers increased by 26.2%, reaching 11,539,073, while the revenue passenger kilometers saw a 29.3% increase, amounting to 9,876,538. The passenger load factor improved by 2.1 percentage points to 85.6%. For the first six months of 2025, Cathay Pacific carried 13,626,576 passengers, marking a 27.8% increase from the same period in 2024. The airline set a new post-pandemic record by carrying over 90,000 passengers on June 28, achieving its highest single-day load factor of 93.4% for the year. Cathay Cargo also experienced growth, with a 6.3% increase in cargo carried in June 2025 compared to the previous year. The company noted a rise in traffic to Southeast Asia and the Chinese Mainland, despite softened demand for Japan. New services to Rome and Munich have been well-received, contributing to the robust outlook for long-haul routes during the summer period.
