SBI Life Insurance's (NSE:SBILIFE, BOM:540719) consolidated net profit increased to 5.94 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 against 5.20 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share climbed to 5.93 rupees from 5.18 rupees a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing to the stock exchanges by the insurance company.
Net premium income in fiscal Q1 rose to 171.8 billion rupees from 151.1 billion rupees a year ago.
