BMW Brilliance Automotive and China Datang are forming a joint venture focused on creating a sustainable auto supply chain, Xinhua News reported Thursday.
The move is the first of its kind for a foreign automaker in China, according to the report.
The venture will develop a 1-gigawatt wind farm, powering BMW's Shenyang production hub with clean energy then expanding supply to Liaoning-based suppliers, dealers and charging-service operators, Xinhua wrote.
