CenterPoint Energy (CNP) said Friday it is planning to hire 200 lineworkers by the end of this year and approximately 800 employees by 2030 to support the company's $53 billion energy investments in Greater Houston.
The company also said it is launching a new skill-based workforce development program called Energy Expressway to support its hiring needs.
The program will begin in October and will train 35 applicants for entry-level roles supporting apprentice and journey lineworkers.
