0937 GMT - The trade agreement between the U.S. and the European Union is positive for the aerospace sector because aircraft and components are exempted from tariffs, Morgan Stanley analysts write in a note to clients. Under the deal, the U.S. will set a baseline tariff of 15% for the vast majority of EU exports, but Washington and Brussels agreed on zero-for-zero tariffs on a number of strategic products, including all aircraft and component parts. "While a return to a zero tariff environment for aerospace was highly anticipated by the market, having it formalized is nonetheless positive," the analysts say. Airbus welcomed the deal, saying a stable and predictable environment is essential for the highly integrated global aerospace industry. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
