Firebird Metals (ASX:FRB) said it will begin in-house development of lithium manganese-rich cathode materials, in a program led by its internal technical team and supported by specialist consultants, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
High-energy applications such as electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, humanoid robotics, and electric vehicles are boosting demand for lithium manganese-rich cathode materials.
The development program is expected to be completed within 18 months. Its long-term objective is to deliver fully integrated processing solutions for manganese-rich cathode materials.
