Clean Energy Fuels Corporation has announced a series of new agreements to supply renewable natural gas $(RNG)$ to transit fleets and municipalities across the United States. These deals involve building and upgrading fueling infrastructure, maintaining and operating station sites, and providing RNG for various public service vehicles, including buses and refuse trucks. Notably, Loudoun County in Virginia will see the construction of a new fueling station to support its expanding natural gas bus fleet. The city of El Paso, Texas, has also signed on to receive RNG for its fleet, with Clean Energy set to upgrade one of its fueling stations and provide operational support. Additionally, Trinity Metro in Fort Worth, Texas, and the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority in Alabama have secured RNG supply agreements to fuel their bus fleets. These initiatives aim to help cities and transit agencies meet sustainability goals while making an immediate environmental impact.
