China's medical products administrator approved North China Pharmaceutical's (SHA:600812) cobamide capsules, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The capsules, which contain adenosylcobalamin, is primarily used for the prevention of wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, megaloblastic anemia, and as supplements for pregnant and lactating mothers, the filing said.
