Financial stocks were advancing premarket Tuesday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) was up 0.2% recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 0.6% higher and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was down 0.5%.

SoFi Technologies (SOFI) shares were up more than 10% after the company posted higher Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.

Nomura Holdings (NMR) stock was more than 4% higher after the company reported an increase in fiscal Q1 net income.

Barclays (BCS) shares were up more than 2% after the company reported higher Q2 earnings and total income.
