Chubu Electric Power Co.'s (TYO:9502) profit attributable to owners of the parent decreased 14% to 85.3 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter from 99.5 billion yen a year ago.

The company's earnings per share declined to 112.98 yen from 131.64 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.

Operating revenue slipped 2.5% to 800.3 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 820.6 billion yen a year earlier.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, the company expects an attributable profit of 185 billion yen, EPS of 244.96 yen and operating revenue of 3.550 trillion yen.

Chubu Electric Power plans to pay interim and final dividends of 35 yen per share each for the current year.
