Toyota Motor (TM) plans to begin producing electric vehicles for the first time in Europe with output at its Czech subsidiary plant starting as early as 2028, Nikkei reported Tuesday.
The facility aims to manufacture an electric sport utility vehicle with an annual production target of 100,000 units, the report said.
Toyota plans to offer 14 EV models in Europe by 2026, which are manufactured at other global facilities, the report said.
