MAC Copper (ASX:MAC) said that the Royal Court of Jersey ordered a meeting of its shareholders to be held to decide on the company's proposed acquisition by Harmony Gold via a scheme of arrangement, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The scheme meeting and the general meeting are scheduled for Aug. 29, the filing said.

The company's board continues to recommend that shareholders vote in favor of the scheme, the filing added.
