Jardine Cycle & Carriage's (SGX:C07) attributable profit declined 23% in H1 to $371 million from $483 million a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Earnings per share fell 23% to $0.94 compared with $1.22 in the comparable period. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had estimated earnings per share of SG$0.012 for the period.
Revenue was up 1% year over year to $10.8 billion from $10.7 billion. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had estimated revenue of SG$11.3 billion for the period.
The company declared an interim dividend of $0.28 per share for the period.
Shares of the company were down over 2% in recent trading.
