ASR Microelectronics (SHA:688220) plans to invest 40 million yuan in a technology and biomedical partnership fund as a limited partner, according to a Shanghai bourse disclosure on Wednesday.
The eight-year fund, Shanghai Haiwang Hezong Private Equity Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership), will have a fund size of 2.11 billion yuan. It will invest in mature-stage firms in integrated circuits, high-end manufacturing, and biomedicine.
The Chinese semiconductor manufacturer will own 1.9% of the fund.
