Brazilian Rare Earths Ltd. (BRE) has officially entered into a partnership with MagBras Project, which is supported by Brazilian state agencies to develop a domestic mine-to-magnet rare earths supply chain in Brazil. This cooperation involves establishing a pilot plant at the Rare Earth Institute in Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais. The initiative will focus on researching and developing metallurgical processes, magnet design, and rare earth separation techniques, utilizing rare earth samples from contributors like BRE. The MagBras Project has also partnered with industry leaders such as Stellantis, Vale, Schulz, Mosaic, and Weg to enhance R&D efforts and explore joint development opportunities.
