Boeing (BA) is facing separate lawsuits from four flights attendants on Flight 1282 of Alaska Air Group's (ALK) Alaska Airlines over a 737 MAX 9 mid-air cabin panel blowout in January 2024, multiple media outlets reported.

According to the lawsuits filed Tuesday in Seattle's King County Superior Court, the flight attendants suffered physical and mental injuries and are seeking compensation for past and future economic damages, The Seattle Times reported Thursday.

The lawsuits accused Boeing of negligence and failure to exercise reasonable care in producing, selling and repairing 737 MAX jets and its parts, Reuters reported Friday.

A spokesperson for Alaska said the company doesn't comment on pending litigation but noted that it is thankful to crew members for ensuring the safety of everyone on board, The Seattle Times reported.

The companies didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.

Boeing and Alaska Air shares were down 1.7% and 1.6%, respectively, in recent premarket activity.
