EHang Completes Unmanned Intercity Round-Trip Cargo Flight in China

EHang (EH) said Friday its VT20 series unmanned cargo aircraft completed an intercity round-trip delivery service between Zhuhai and Guangzhou in China.

The electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft transported seafood over a distance of 83 kilometers from Zhuhai to Guangzhou in about 55 minutes, and returned with medical test samples from Guangzhou to Zhuhai, the company said.

EHang said the flights validate the feasibility of using unmanned aerial vehicles for time-sensitive cargo.

Shares of EHang were 3.7% lower in recent trading Friday.
