1305 ET - EBay is continuing to use generative AI to drive personalized customer engagement, a move that's part of the online marketplace's broader push to engage inflation-weary shoppers who are cutting back on discretionary spending. The company in late 2024 introduced AI-generated subject lines and personalized customer relationship management emails in the U.S., which drove a more than 40% increase in quality visits compared with its prior approach, company executives say.
