Orezone Gold's (ASX:ORE) shares jumped nearly 8% in recent trading on Friday, in its maiden trading session.

The gold producer earlier said it would use proceeds from its initial public offering to accelerate the stage 2 hard rock expansion at the Bomboré gold project in Burkina Faso.

Gold traded at a little over $3,400 per ounce early on Friday.
