WASHINGTON, Aug 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department said on Thursday it required broad divestitures to resolve a challenge to Unitedhealth’s $3.3 billion acquisition of Amedisys.
"In addition, Amedisys would pay a $1.1 million civil penalty to the United States for falsely certifying that it had provided 'true, correct, and complete' responses" under antitrust law, it said in a statement.
