This growth was fueled by a 5.8% rise in international traffic and an 8.7% surge in domestic traffic. Over the first seven months of 2025, the total passenger count reached a record 5.6 million, representing a 9.1% rise against the same period in 2024. Specifically, Florence 'Amerigo Vespucci' airport achieved its best July ever, processing 385,000 passengers, a 9.9% increase from 2024, driven by a 12.4% growth in international traffic despite a slight 3.3% dip in domestic traffic. The busiest routes for Florence included Paris, London, Amsterdam, Munich, and Barcelona. Meanwhile, Pisa's "Galileo Galilei" airport also celebrated a record month, with 681,000 passengers, up 4.8% from July 2024, buoyed by a 1.9% increase in international traffic and strong domestic growth.
