United Microelectronics (UMC) said Wednesday its net sales fell 4.1% year over year to about 20.04 billion New Taiwan dollars ($668.9 million) in July.

For the seven months through July, the company's net sales rose 3.3% from a year earlier to NT$136.66 billion.
