Columbia Banking System Inc. and Pacific Premier Bancorp have announced the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals for their upcoming merger. The approvals were granted by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, Division of Financial Regulation. This follows the shareholder and stockholder approvals obtained on July 21, 2025. The merger, which is an all-stock transaction, was initially announced on April 23, 2025, and is anticipated to close on or around August 31, 2025. The collaboration aims to enhance market leadership across the West and deliver long-term value to customers, communities, and shareholders.
