DongFeng Automobile (SHA:600006) partnered with Dongfeng Import & Export in overseas marketing, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Under the cooperation agreement, Dongfeng Import & Export will handle global sales of light commercial vehicles and resolve legacy overseas assets, while the company will focus on product research and development and manufacturing.
The deal is pending final agreement.
DongFeng Automobile and Dongfeng Import & Export are subsidiaries of Dongfeng Motor Group (HKG:0489).
Shares of the automobile maker rose 1% in recent trade.
