United-Guardian, Inc. $(UG)$ has announced its financial results for the second quarter and the first half of 2025. The company's second quarter net sales decreased to $2.84 million, down from $3.39 million in the same period of 2024. Net income for the quarter also fell to $626,826, compared to $956,225 in the second quarter of 2024. This represents a decrease in earnings per share from $0.21 to $0.14. However, when compared to the first quarter of 2025, the second quarter showed a 14% increase in net sales and a 12% increase in net income. For the six-month period ending June 30, 2025, net sales were $5.32 million, a decrease from $6.65 million in the same period in 2024. Net income for the first half of 2025 was $1.19 million, down from $1.88 million in the first half of the previous year, with earnings per share declining from $0.41 to $0.26. Donna Vigilante, President of United-Guardian, highlighted the increase in sales of pharmaceuticals and medical lubricants during the first half of 2025.
