Sayona Mining, Piedmont Lithium Merger to Become Effective Aug. 19

Sayona Mining (ASX:SYA) said the effective date of its merger with Piedmont Lithium (ASX:PLL) is set for Aug. 19, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The last day that Piedmont shares will trade on Nasdaq is Aug. 19, and its CHESS Depositary Interests will be delisted from the Australian Securities Exchange on Aug. 20.

Also on Aug. 19, Sayona's American Depositary Shares (ADSs) will start trading on Nasdaq.

Subsequently, the first day of settlement for the new Sayona shares issued under the merger is scheduled for Aug. 22.

Sayona Mining's shares rose almost 9% in recent Thursday trade, while Piedmont Lithium's shares gained 4%.
