Fu Shou Yuan International (HKG:1448) expects to post a loss attributable to shareholders of between 235 million yuan and 265 million yuan for the six months ended June 30, compared with a profit of 298.8 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the funeral service provider were down nearly 9% in Wednesday's mid-morning trade.
The anticipated loss was mainly attributed to macroeconomic headwinds, increased tax expenses at certain subsidiaries, and impairment provisions on goodwill and related assets, the company said.
It plans to announce its interim results by the end of August.
