GCI Liberty, Inc. has released its second-quarter 2025 financial results, highlighting a 6% increase in total revenue to $261 million compared to the same quarter last year. This growth was driven by a 14% increase in GCI Business revenue, which reached $142 million, while GCI Consumer revenue saw a decline of 2%, totaling $119 million. The company reported an operating income of $51 million and achieved a 26% increase in Adjusted OIBDA, reaching $108 million. Wireless revenue, however, experienced a decrease of $2 million, amounting to $10 million, marking a 17% decline. The GCI Business segment reported a substantial gross margin of 81.7%, reflecting a 730 basis point increase from the previous year. Additionally, business direct costs decreased by 19%, primarily due to temporary cost savings from a fiber break on a third-party network used by GCI. GCI Liberty also reported net cash provided by operating activities of $342 million and free cash flow of $153 million over the trailing twelve months ended June 30, 2025. The company observed a 3% decline in consumer cable modem subscribers, bringing the total to 154,500, while consumer wireless lines in service grew by 1% to 207,000. A significant corporate event noted was the completion of the spin-off of GCI Liberty from Liberty Broadband on July 14th, 2025.
