Bombardier said it plans to expand its operations in the U.S. to meet growing demand from customers south of the border.

The Canadian business-jet manufacturer said Thursday that it has launched a major expansion initiative within its services and support network in the U.S., aimed at addressing the increasing demand for original-equipment-manufacturer-backed services from its growing customer base.

Bombardier said the expansion plans will span multiple years across multiple sites and will be focused on both regions where it currently operates, as well as new ones.

"Bombardier's fleet in the U.S. is growing at a rapid pace, and so should our American network of services and support," said Executive Vice President of Bombardier Aftermarket Services and Strategy Paul Sislian.

The new plans will build on Bombardier's Services business which already has a footprint state-side, with service centers in a number of locations including Dallas, Tucson, Hartford and Wichita, as well as in Miami Opa Locka where it inaugurated a new facility in 2022.
