1258 GMT - Corporate confidence has taken a hit amid tariff-related uncertainty and a more challenging economic backdrop, WPP's departing CEO Mark Read says. "It is a slower overall macro environment. I think corporate confidence has taken a hit," Read says in an interview. The top 25 clients of the U.K. advertising group marginally increased spending in the first half of the year, but smaller customers were under greater pressure, Read says. Some WPP clients are also cutting back on project-based work, he says. Shares fall 3%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
