Stocks to Watch Afterhours: Apple, DraftKings, Corning, Airbnb -- WSJ

Airbnb $(ABNB)$: The stock fell about 6% afterhours as the vacation rental company reported pressure on margins from spending on new businesses.

Apple $(AAPL)$: The iPhone maker's shares gained roughly 3% after hours on news that President Trump would make exemptions from new chip tariffs. Shares of chip companies such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. also rose.

Corning $(GLW)$: The stock of the precision-glass maker rose 6% postmarket after Apple said it would expand its partnership with the company as part of its push to expand manufacturing in the U.S. Shares of MP Materials (MP), an Apple partner that operates the largest rare-earths mine in the Americas, were up 7%.

DraftKings $(DKNG)$: The betting platform said it expects full-year sales to be near the high end of its guidance. Shares rose 5.8%.

Lyft $(LYFT)$: Shares of the ride-sharing app slipped 4% after the company reported a revenue increase that narrowly missed analysts' target.

DoorDash $(DASH)$: The food-delivery app maker swung to a profit and reported revenue that exceeded expectations. Shares jumped 8%.

MetLife $(MET)$: The insurer logged lower profit and revenue in the second quarter on less favorable underwriting and lower investment margins. The stock retreated 5%.
