Chifeng Jilong Gains New Gold Mining License in Liaoning, Extends Inner Mongolia Mine Depth

Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining (HKG:6693) said its subsidiary Liaoning Wulong Gold Mining was granted a mining license, while another unit varied its existing mining license, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Monday.

Shares of the mining company fell over 1% in recent Tuesday trade.

A portion of Liaoning Wulong Gold Mining's exploration right for the Ligunzi site in Dandong City, Liaoning was converted into a mining right that lasts until Aug. 28, 2034, and allows for underground gold mining at a rate of 60,000 tonnes per year across an area covering 3.4957 square kilometers.

Wulong Gold maintains the exploration right for the rest of the area covering 0.3073 square kilometers.

Meanwhile, a second exploration right, also for the Ligunzi site was expanded from 0.6112 square kilometers to 1.0705 square kilometers, the company said.

Elsewhere, the company's Chifeng Jilong Mining unit varied the mining right for the Zhuanshanzi gold mine in Aohan County, Inner Mongolia, such that the depth was expanded downward from 737 meters to -135 meters elevation.
