Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) has announced a significant advancement in the field of photonic integrated circuits (PICs), developed through its thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) technology. The company has been awarded a contract by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to design and fabricate TFLN-based PICs, underscoring the growing demand for domestic capabilities in advanced photonic technologies. This development marks QCi's first direct government contract for its TFLN foundry services and highlights the potential of their technology in high-security, mission-critical environments.
